I don't listen to the radio, actually. I don't watch BET or MTV. All it plays is disposable crap no one will remember or give a damn about in 6 months. And judging by the girls (and boys) that imitate her, it's not rocket science to surmise that she must be some pop fad. The ubiquity speaks for itself. Admittedly, I may well have seen or heard her and just didn't know it. Which for all practical purposes is the same as never having done so. Assuming someone is "clueless" (as you called the above poster) or that they "live under a rock" because they don't know about some pop star is as hilarious as it is ridiculous. Eschewing mainstream culture does not mean you live under a rock, it means you live outside of the box. Damn, you mad huh lol. You just lost $1,000.

Thank you! I didn't know you would be called clueless just because you never bothered to worry about what 14 year old girls listen to and dress like/imitate. Unfortunately, I can't say that I've never seen or heard her, but I believe that a lot of people have no idea who she is. My sister didn't know who she was at all, and had never heard of her until I brought it up. At any rate, I'm so jealous of you. If you have no idea who she is, you're so lucky. I want to be like you, lol.

Don't listen to the radio nor watch TV. I fervent wish that BET would topple to the lowest rung of Hell (I hate MTV too, but BET is supposed to be "for black folks" so I reserve especial hatred for them for their utter coonery). I know who CopyCat Mirage is, but 3/4 of the others my niece and sister ask me about.....I never heard of them nor heard any of their music/movies. And that suits me fine.
