PORTLAND, Ore. - Police want to know if there are other victims of a man they say poses as a cop and robs people in their own homes.

Elijah Cohens has been indicted on 17 felony charges.

Cohens allegedly attacked Don Miller, who said he was hit so hard his ear bled. Miller said Cohens didn’t act like a police officer until Miller was in a compromising position.

Miller said his connection to Cohens began with a phone call via an adult chat line, "888-MegaMates."

A conversation led to Miller inviting Cohens over to his Southeast Portland home. Miller said Cohens was dressed casually.

The two got intimate. Then Miller said his guest went into cop mode.

"That's when he flipped me over," Miller said. "He was a bigger guy than I am – put the handcuffs on me, behind my back."

But the handcuffs kept popping off. So Miller said Cohens used speaker wire then packaging tape to hogtie him and cover his mouth.

"He told me he was a policeman," Miller said. "He had the drill down pretty good. He said, 'Sir, calm down.' And I kept asking him to see a badge but he couldn’t produce one."

He said Cohens told him he was arresting him for soliciting Internet sex even though the two had met over the phone.

"He said we’re cracking down on that."

Just five days later police say Cohens used the same MO at another apartment complex in Southeast Portland.

Police say Cohens attacked at least four men this way over the course of a month. Miller said he feels fortunate it wasn't worse and hasn't called the chat line since.

"I hope he (Cohens) spends quite a bit of time in jail," Miller said.

Miller said Cohens stole his wallet, his cell phone and his nephew's cell phone so they couldn't call 9-1-1.

Miller's nephew was home but he was in another room and didn't know what was happening.

He drove Miller to find a police officer while Miller was still hogtied.

Police picked Cohens up on a parole violation.
