Houston, Texas (The Weekly Vice) - Gabrielle Handy, a 19-year-old Texas woman was jailed Thursday after she allegedly dangled her baby niece from the window of a moving vehicle.

According to the Harris County Sheriff's Office, deputies were dispatched Thanksgiving day after a motorist called 911 to report that a woman was dangling a baby from the window of a moving vehicle.

Dispatchers asked the woman to keep the suspect vehicle in sight until an officer could catch up. Investigator say Handy held her 1-year-old niece outside the window of a vehicle as it reached speeds of up to 65 miles per hour.

An officer caught up to the car and pulled it over. Handy reportedly denied that she held the girl outside the car. The child's mother, who was also in the vehicle, did not offer an explanation to police. Handy was booked into jail and charged with endangering a child.
