     Bamma has been around for decades. It originally meant someone from the south (Alabama ect.) who migrates to the north and attempts to blend in but in turn just ends up looking more country and awkward because of said attempt.
     
     Over time it came to mean anyone who was goofy/weird/awkward/fashionable deficient is taste and the like.
